Examples of Fate

EXAMPLES OF FATE

Fate is shown three main times in the play. It starts in the intro/prologue where Shakespeare basically reveals the outcome of the play in the first fourteen lines.

The next example is how Romeo and Benvolio are on the street when the servant passes by and asks  them to ready the names on the list. It seems to be a coincidence, but is a massive twist of fate.

The last example is when Romeo practically read the future and predicts what will happen later in the play.

This is perfect note-taking for future reference. You’ll find it a lot easier if you also collect quotations to support these ideas as you go (rather than having to go back and find them when it comes to the time for your final analysis.)
